YANA
VIBHUTI FALLS
Of the numerous waterfalls of the
Western Ghats. Vibhuti waterfall is few kilometers distance from YANA. As per localites the waterfall got the name as
Vibhuti falls because of this Lime Stone rock nearby. It is also known as Mabgi falls because of a small village named Mabgi located in its
vicinity. Vibhuti falls around 3 kms from Mabgi village. It is about 40 kilimeters from Gokarna.

YANA

Yana is a small village located
in forests of the Kumta, Karnataka State, India which is
known for the unusual rock formations. It is located in the Sahyadri
mountain range of the Western Ghats,It is about 45 kilometres from Gokarna. It is sourrounded by natural beauty and thick forest. The two unique rock
outcrops here has become a tourist attraction. It is easily approachable by a
small walk of about a half kilometres of thick forests from the nearest road head.
Nearby Cities are: Sirsi,Honnaavar,Kumta.
MURUDESHWAR

Murdeshwar is in Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada district in the state of Karnataka, India.
Murdeshwar is another name of the Hindu god Shiva. It is famous for the world's
second tallest Shiva statue, it lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea and
is also famous for the Murdeshwar Temple. It has a railway station on
the Mangalore-Mumbai Konkan railway route. It is about 80 kilometers from Gokarna

APSARAKONDA

It is a small village situated in Honnavar taluk of
Uttara Kannda district. It is just 8 Kms from Honnavar main bus stop. There is
a beautiful hill, a beautiful natural pond facing the sea. As per local people Angels used to come from heaven and take bath in that pond. That is why it is named as Apsarakonda. You really feel a divine beauty here. One can have a beautiful view of sunset.There are temples - Umamba
MahaGanapathi & Ugra Narasimha Temple. And Havyak Brahmin Community's branch of Ramachandrapura
Matt, Hosanagar is also here. Back side of the temple is a beautiful but
small water fall called Apsarakonda falls. It is about 35 kms from Gokarna.

MIRJAN FORT

As per the historical evidences the Mirjan Fort was
ruled by Sarpa Mallika are the historical relics of the district. Mirjan fort
is the only fort which is in a moderate condition. The fort is situated on the
bank of the Aghanashini river. The fort has four entrances and said to be built
by Adil Shah of Bijapur. The fort is streched over 10 acres of land comprising
of wells, tunnels inside. The fort contains the broken sculpture of
Parshwanatha, Laxminayaran and Mallikeshwara Temple and six Veeragallus ( icons
of bravery) out side the village. The fort needs immediate attention of the
proper authority to keep it properly maintained. The Fort is only 10 kms from
the famous religious place Gokarna. Suitable time to visit The Fort is from August to March.

Shri Karikaan
Parameshwari popularly known as “
Karikaanamma” is a Hindu goddess temple in the Western
Ghats in Karnataka, India. It is located near Areangadi of Honnavar. Its is established by Shri.Shreedhar
Swamiji. The
Garbhagudi is carved out of a single rock. Earlier devotees used to climb
mountains from Areangadi. But in 1970’s
when Indira Gandhi visited the temple, roads were fully built up to temple. It
is sourrounded by very dense forest. It is a favorite spot for nature lovers.
One can have an amazing view of Arabian sea from a top of the mountain. It is dedicated to
the deity Kali. It is about 60 kms from Gokarna and is about 15 Kms from the main town Honnavar and is
towards Ramtirth Areangadi road.
